Craig Burton on the Metasystem

Filed under: Identity Gang — Dick @ 1:29 pm

Craig Burton tried to clarify his position on the Metasystem. Microsoft has a token exchanger. Not sure that is a Metasystem. It is a token exchanger. Any system that is converting from one token type to another has a token exchanger. The Relying Party has to not only trust he original creator of the token, but the token exchanger as well. And I don’t see how a protocol exchanges tokens. I still see the Metasystem title to be a misnomer, and that Microsoft is proposes a set of protocols as well as a few very useful components: Infocard and ITS.

I like to try the sxore in an appropriate context here.
